CA PREP
WHAT IS THE CA PREP PROGRAM?
The California Personal Responsibility and Education Program (PREP) provides sexual health education to adolescents via effective, evidence-based program models.
This includes:
- instruction on abstinence
- contraception to prevent pregnancy
- information on sexually transmitted infections including HIV
The program focuses on youth ages 10-19 facing adverse conditions or living in a high need area and expectant or parenting youth through 21 years of age.
Services are offered in a range of settings, from schools and juvenile justice facilities, to homeless shelters and group homes.
CA PREP’s goal is to promote and improve the sexual and reproductive health of high need youth populations.
Our services are confidential and offered at no cost.
