Years Serving Lake County
How We Got Started
Lake Family Resource Center was incorporated on April 11, 1995 as Lake Health Alliance. The organization was brought into being through collaboration between Sutter Lakeside Hospital and (what was then) Redbud Hospital to provide community benefit through non-medical programs.
In July 1997 Lake Health Alliance’s name had been changed to Sutter Lakeside Community Services (SLCS) to reflect the sole affiliation with the Sutter Healthcare system. In 2006 SLCS and Sutter Lakeside Hospital underwent a friendly disaffiliation process and the organization changed its name to Lake Family Resource Center (Lake FRC), an unaffiliated, nonprofit, community benefit corporation.
